The 17-70mm includes Tamron's proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation). Additionally, this lens focuses very close. It features an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.19m (7.5 in) at the wide-angle end and 0.39m (15.4 in) at the telephoto end. When shooting very close to the subject, the lens enables expressive imagery with highly blurred backgrounds, a feature unique to large aperture lenses. Cosmetically this item would be placed within our Good condition rating. Please Note: This item is only intermittently functional. Due to an electrical fault, the lens only get recognized by the camera sporadically. Even when it does, the VR is faulty and the lens cannot focus properly. This happens about 80% of the times the shutter release is pressed. This is incredibly disruptive and makes the item impossible to use normally. Addtionally, there is a small amount of moisture in the internal elements of the lens. For these reasons, the item is being sold as spares and repairs.
