Il problema è che ciò che scrive, o anche solo ciò che ha immaginato di scrivere, diventa vero. E siccome per lo più scrive sceneggiature noir, presto si trova in un sacco di guai: la sovrapposizione di finzione e realtà è graduale, ma progressiva e inarrestabile. E il finale è sconosciuto persino a lui.
